More about Jonathan
Having been raised on building sites (Jonathan's father built 3 of his family's homes), Jonathan took to construction very easily. At College he was awarded ‘Best Student' for his Diploma in Building Studies. He has gone on to receive a Bachelors Degree with Honours in Building Design & Management. In 1997 he became a Chartered Builder, the UK's highest building qualification - Professional Builder.
He is now an accomplished architectural and furniture designer. He has successfully completed design and build projects of his own and for individual and corporate clients internationally. Over the years Jonathan has realized his true passion is creating English oak-framed buildings and inspiring furniture to match. Unusually he has an eye for both detail and the big picture.
Established in Virginia in 2003, English Oak House LLC is the culmination of 12 years of research and planning. Although English Oak frame houses had already been cut in England, shipped over to be built on the East coast, no one had taken deliberate steps to bring these wonderful buildings directly to the US market until now.
